CUMULUS NEWS RELEASE FEB 8, 2000 CUMULUS ANNOUNCES MONICA JOHNSON
AS DIRECTOR OF SALES FOR WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA
CHICAGO, IL February 8, 2000 – Cumulus Broadcasting, Inc. announced that Monica Johnson was recently appointed as Director of Sales for Cumulus’ Wilmington, North Carolina market. As Director of Sales, Monica will be responsible for overseeing the sales management function, as well as recruiting, developing, and managing the direct sales force of WWQQ-FM, WAAV-FM, WAAV-AM, WGNI-FM and WMNX-FM. She will also work with advertisers to develop both traditional and nontraditional targeted marketing campaigns. “Keeping with the tradition of promoting from within whenever possible, I believe that Monica will smoothly handle the transition from Local Sales Manager to Market Director of Sales,” said Bill Bungeroth, President & CEO of Cumulus Broadcasting.
