CUMULUS NEWS RELEASE FEB 11, 2000 CUMULUS PROMOTIONS
Milwaukee, WI February 11, 2000 – Cumulus Broadcasting Inc. is pleased to announced the appointment of the following three individuals: Jill Schmitt to the position of Vice President, Director of Facilities. Ms. Schmitt was formerly Director of Facilities. Ms. Schmitt is responsible for the planning, acquisition, construction and management of Cumulus Broadcasting and office facilities in 65 cities across the U.S. and 5 countries in the Eastern Caribbean. Prior to joining Cumulus in June of 1998, Ms. Schmitt held the position of Field Facilities Manager at Manpower's Corporate Headquarters in Glendale, WI. Jorge J. Garcia to the position of Controller. Mr. Garcia was formerly Assistant Controller in charge of acquisitions. He joined Cumulus in September 1997. Mr. Garcia is responsible for planning and integrating the financial systems, controls and business functions of acquired stations into the Cumulus framework. Mr. Garcia has also been responsible for the development and implementation of internal accounting controls and procedures as well as overseeing the financial team’s support of the ongoing broadcasting operations. Prior to joining Cumulus, Mr. Garcia was a Senior Associate with Price Waterhouse LLP in Chicago. Michael K. Bavely to the position of Controller. Mr. Bavely
was formerly Assistant Controller in charge of financial reporting.
He joined Cumulus in December 1997. Mr. Bavely is responsible for
the management of Cumulus’ internal, external, and SEC financial reporting
functions. Working closely with the regional accounting center managers
and market level managers, Mr. Bavely has also been responsible for the
development and implementation of internal accounting controls, accounting
controls, accounting systems and procedures at Cumulus. Prior to
joining Cumulus, Mr. Bavely was a Senior Associate in the Audit and Business
Advisory Services Department of Price Waterhouse LLP in Chicago.
