CUMULUS COMPLETES TUPELO ACQUISITION, Closes on Radio Station WWKZ(FM) in Mississippi Market
 

MILWAUKEE, June 26, 2000-- Cumulus Media Inc. (NASDAQ:CMLS) announced that it has completed the acquisition of WWKZ (FM), Tupelo, Mississippi.  The Company acquired the station from Broadcasters & Publishers, Inc. for $2.925 million.

Known as “KZ105”, WWKZ is one of five stations programmed by Cumulus in the Tupelo radio market, ranked the 178th largest market in the U.S. by The Arbitron Co.

With a long history of producing and participating in public service events such as American Cancer Society – Relays for Life, WWKZ services the community with a #1 contemporary station.  Birthplace of the King of Rock & Roll-Elvis, Tupelo continues the tradition of moving the music-making trends into the new century with station WWKZ.

Cumulus Media owns and operates radio station clusters in mid-size markets.  Assuming the completion of all pending acquisitions, Cumulus Media will own and operate 304 radio stations in 60 U.S. media markets.  The Company commenced operations May 22, 1997.
