Cumulus Media, Inc. is a radio broadcasting company focused on the operation and development of radio stations in mid-size and smaller radio markets in the U.S. The Company has assembled market-leading clusters with stations comprising the first or second ranked radio group in terms of revenue and/or audience share in virtually all of its U.S. markets. Cumulus was founded in 1997 by management and an institutional investor group that included the State of Wisconsin Investment Board, NationsBank Capital Corporation, Heller Equity Capital Corporation, and joined later by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company. The Company went public on June 26, 1998. 

RADIO STATION PORTFOLIO:

The Company's portfolio of stations and includes 225 radio stations (164 FM and 61 AM) clustered in 46 U.S. markets, plus the Caribbean.  The Company has four regions as its primary focus: the Midwest, Southeast, Southwest, and Northeast.  The Company is the 2nd largest radio broadcasting company based on the number of stations and the 11th largest based on revenues in the U.S.
