Jill Bright is EVP, Global Human Resources and Administration at Sotheby’s. Prior to that she was at Condé Nast from 1993 to 2016—and led the Human Resources and Corporate Communications groups for many years until her appointment as chief administrative officer in 2010. As CAO at Condé Nast, she oversaw several areas including strategy and planning, product licensing, and contracts and rights. During her career, Bright also served as chief administrative officer for Gensler (the global architecture and design firm) and held senior HR roles at Macy’s and American Express. Bright is a member of the National Board of Girls Inc. and the Board of WOW Cable & Internet.  In 2015, she was appointed by Mayor de Blasio to the Quadrennial Advisory Commission to study, evaluate and make recommendations regarding compensation levels of elected NYC Officials and in 2017 she was appointed as the Mayor’s Representative to the Board of the New York Public Library. Bright received her bachelor’s degree from Marymount Manhattan College, where she is a member of the Board of Trustees, and her MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
